About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Manager with a strong background in healthcare data to support our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, creating actionable insights, and managing our business intelligence tools. Your experience with healthcare data standards and a keen understanding of the healthcare industry's unique challenges will be critical to driving informed business decisions. Role and Responsibilities Data Analysis: Analyze large, complex datasets, including data from EMRs, to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic decision-making. SQL Development: Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, with a focus on healthcare-specific databases. Business Intelligence: Design, implement, and maintain dashboards and reports using Metabase (or similar tools), ensuring data visualization aligns with healthcare industry needs. Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, finance, marketing, and operations, to understand data requirements and provide meaningful analytical support. . Data Governance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, security, and compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA). Training: Provide training to team members on data interpretation and effective use of business intelligence tools, tailored to the healthcare context. Ad Hoc Reporting: Create custom reports and analyses to address specific business needs and initiatives. Preferred Experience Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Manager, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the healthcare industry. Deep understanding of healthcare data, standards, and regulatory requirements, including familiarity with HIPAA. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation, with experience working on healthcare-related datasets. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools such as Metabase, BigQuery, or similar platforms, with a focus on healthcare analytics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially in addressing the nuances of healthcare data. Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with sensitivity to healthcare-specific implications. Expertise in data visualization techniques and best practices, particularly for healthcare reporting and compliance.
