Position Title: Vice President (VP), Finance
Location: Works onsite at the Zyris Headquarters based in Goleta, CA
Position Overview:
Zyris is seeking a strategic and tactical operational leader who will oversee finance and accounting functions; drive the financial strategy, manage financial risks, and support Zyris's goals for growth and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this key role will be responsible for managing the finance operations, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, compliance, and reporting. The VP of Finance will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's financial health, optimizing capital allocation, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making. This position requires a proactive leader with a blend of strategic business acumen and operational expertise to execute accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, utilize robust GAAP compliant accounting practices, mitigate risk, and ensure optimal financial health of Zyris, all while supporting the company's overall mission and goals.

Collaborative team player with the ability to interact with all departments throughout the company. Self-motivated and results orientation with ability to operate under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Risk Management and Compliance - Expertise in financial risk assessment and management, with knowledge of regulatory compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications: CPA, CFA, CMA, or equivalent certifications strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in finance or accounting, with at least 10 years in a senior management role.
- Technical and Technology Skills: Advanced knowledge of financial systems and technology applications. Expertise with GAAP standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Dynamics 365, advanced Excel, and financial modeling. Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Slack, Zoom, Payroll and Accounting Software.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in leading high-performing teams, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced skills in financial analysis, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with experience in capital allocation and ROI analysis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Required to sit or stand at a desk while working on a computer for extended periods of time
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Additional: Physical demands as appropriate based on travel requirements.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- The working environment is typically an onsite office environment and / or may include working hybrid in a home office set-up.
- Travel requirements: All employees are expected to travel to the Zyris office, working on site and participating in the All-Company Meetings / Events held at least twice per year. Additional travel for business needs may be required.

Zyris is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and the pay range $260,000 - $300,000 provided is the range that we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on criteria permitted under applicable law including but not limited to a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
