Position SummaryThe Business Intelligence Analyst is an experienced data professional with a passion for preparing and presenting information in a visually appealing and easily understood manner, making it relevant and actionable for key stakeholders. The position requires the ability to collect and synthesize complex data from multiple sources, provide intellectual rigor to analysis and interpretation processes, and derive meaningful insights that support the achievement of strategic and operational goals. This person will act as an internal consultant to other departments to support and facilitate their understanding of our data. They will maximize the use of our enterprise data warehouse and develop solutions that can be scaled. ResponsibilitiesPerform functions related to problem definition, data collection, interpretation and analysis, visualization, and presentation/communication of results and recommendationsMaintain a working knowledge of healthcare coding and analytics techniquesValidate findings and continue to maintain implemented modelsObserve patterns and create new attributes to address needs, and utilize across modelsManage time appropriately to deliver resultsEnsure documentation of all processes, analyses, design, data definitions, and developmentWork with various cross-functional teams including sales, product development, clinical, and care servicesRequires HIPAA understanding and complete confidentiality protocols: Associate must demonstrate understanding and sign confidentiality documentsComply with HIPAA privacy laws and all other federal, state, and local regulationsReport suspected or detected security events via company provided communication channelsFollow all company-defined operational policies and proceduresProtect and maintain confidentiality of company and customer information, policies, and processesPerform other related duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor’s degree—or equivalent experience—in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, actuarial, mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, economics, public health, healthcare management and policy, or similar background2 years’ work experience in analytics including data preparation, report development, troubleshooting, and supportWorking Knowledge of Data visualization software (such as Tableau or Power BI) is requiredSQL experience is requiredWorking Knowledge of statistical software (such as Python, SAS or R) is preferredAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, data models, queries, etc.) is preferredSkillsExcellent problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, strong quantitative capabilities, team-contributorAbility to work collaboratively with data and cross-functional partnersOral and written communication, often adapted to non-analytical audiencesStrong self-starter who is comfortable taking direction and working independentlyDemonstrated ability to take an idea from research to presentation and implementationGood project management, time management and organizational skillsAn interest in and desire to learn about the constantly evolving population health industryNo Travel#LI-Remote
