The OpportunityYou will join a highly collaborative team of machine learning engineers, applied scientists, and researchers, working closely with Adobe’s internal product teams. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and build machine learning pipelines that integrate seamlessly into digital imaging and video products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.We are looking for someone with a proactive demeanor who values constructive discussions, cultivates partnerships, and operates with a strong bias for action. Your work will focus on productizing machine learning models, driving meticulous experimentation, and aligning with broader product strategies to push the boundaries of innovation.In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, agile environment and play a pivotal role in transforming research ideas into "Adobe Magic," bringing new features to life.All 2025 Adobe interns will work in a co-located hybrid model. This means interns will split their time between their assigned office and home. Interns will be based in the office where their manager and/or team are located, ensuring they receive the most support for collaboration and an optimal employee experience. Managers and their organizations will determine how often interns should come into the office to meet business priorities.What You’ll DoDesign, develop, and implement scalable, efficient model pipelines and complex machine learning algorithms.Collaborate with product management and research teams to develop innovative products and features.Implement pioneering research into Adobe's flagship products.Lead and contribute to cross-divisional projects within Adobe.Actively participate in daily stand-ups, meetings, and engineering discussions.Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced development environment, maintaining clear, positive, and constructive communication.What You Need to SucceedEducation:Currently enrolled full-time in a PhD or Master’s program in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.Solid understanding of Visual Foundation Models (e.g., Transformers, Diffusion) and Multimodal Language Models (e.g., Text-to-Image, Image-to-Text, Text-to-Video), including their evaluation metrics, productization challenges, and familiarity with common frameworks and methodologies.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.Ability to evaluate, improve, or develop sophisticated machine learning algorithms for complex use cases.Familiarity with the end-to-end machine learning development lifecycle, including data acquisition and annotation, model design and implementation, evaluation, and deployment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and influence others through well-reasoned explanations.Ability to participate in a full-time internship program between May and September.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $45.00 -- $61.00 hourly.
