A Fortune 100 company is seeking a Control Management Analyst! The consultant will join the Control Management team which acts as a Center of Excellencewithin this client’s business, and assists in the identification, measurement, monitoring, and management of Operational Risks related to the business products, processes, and initiatives. Operational risk is the risk to the current or projected business objectives and resilience arising from inadequate or failed internal processes or systems, human errors or misconduct, or adverse external events.
The Analyst, Control Management will assist the team with leading governance and implementation of requirements related to several large-scale programs like new Initiatives, Controls and Testing, Third Party Risk, Regulatory Exams, Information Security, Privacy, Financial Reporting, Physical Security and Business Continuity/Resiliency.
The Details:
12 month contract with potential to extend based on performance and budget
Hybrid 3 days in Lower Manhattan
Full time, 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the effective execution of the Compliance Risk Assessment Framework across all processes.
- Drive initiatives and provide consultation on risks that needs to be considered by the business and ensure risks are properly assessed, measured, and mitigated.
- Manage projects related to the implementation of risk mitigation and control enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure enterprise risks and control requirements are properly aligned with the business and implemented effectively within the process.
- Continuously improve the effectiveness of risk management programs within the business unit by monitoring, reviewing, and enhancing programs, processes, and procedures.
- Build strong relationships with business partners to understand business objectives and potential risks to support business partners effectively in effective management of risks.
- Provide actionable insights to drive the appropriate response in the management, mitigation, or elimination of risk.
- Manage oversight of Third Parties supporting this unit to ensure risks are managed and mitigated in line with regulatory and client expectations.
- Oversee all Third Party related Control Rating metrics and their performance for the business unit.
- Manage monthly and ad-hoc reporting pertaining to Third Party Governance.
- Propose and implement process and reporting improvements to effectively support business objectives and maintain strong program.
- Support Regulatory requirements associated with the Third Party Program.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in operational risk management, strategy, internal control and process or similar function within Financial Services industries.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative and team-oriented environment with evolving business needs
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and independently from end-to-end
- Must be detail oriented, very organized and a quick learner
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to interact with and influence cross-functional teams
- Proactive, results oriented and driven
- Bachelor’s degree
