Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for a Manager of Events and Workplace our FreedomCare team.
This is an in-office position with a required weekly commute into our New Hyde Park and New York City office or the FreedomCare hub closest to you, as well as some required travel to event sites as needed.
Department & Position Overview:
The role of Manager of Events and Worksite, is a people leader that will play a critical role in growing this department and ensuring the success of our Travel, Worksites & Events department by providing direct oversight, strategy of deliverables, hands-on involvement and a proficiency in reporting and assessing data and financials in various aspects of both virtual and in-person event planning, gifting programs, worksite maintenance/management, and travel for all of FreedomCare.
This is a multifaceted role that requires a combination of creativity, organization, effective communication, and analysis skills to ensure successful & meaningful events, gifting experiences, and optimal worksite operations.
Responsibilities:
Leading the Team
- Accountable for the performance and development of the team of professionals or high performing non-exempt staff responsible for:
- Planning, coordination, communication, and execution of events across FreedomCare, including but not limited to internal employees, partners, community members, as well as overseeing community service events for patients and caregivers.
- Development and management gifting programs, including swag, lifecycle gifts, annual FC gifts, community outreach swag, and holiday gifts for partners.
- Provide an office design and atmosphere which promotes collaboration, company hospitality and support. Maintenance and operation of all office spaces and other infrastructure to ensure facilities are functioning optimally and safely.
- Travel, as needed, to all offices and assist with facility management, utilization, and events
Collaboration & Expertise
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define event goals, themes, and logistics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and desired outcomes.
- Applies understanding of the company and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives.
- Work with support departments to enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, optimizing operational efficiency for all events and office locations.
Contract & Financial Responsibility
- Responsible for the creation, negotiation, maintenance, tracking, and budgeting of all contracts, as they relate to: events, travel, gifting, and facilities.
- Oversee communication and deliverance on reporting of vendors, partners, and attendees for future improvements.
- Optimization of budgets, including but not limited to: expense tracking, cost projections, and financial reporting and forecasting.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, master preferred
- 2+ years of event coordination, travel management, or relevant experience is required.
- Certifications in events, hospitality, and/or multimedia marketing is a plus.
- Experience with Helpscout & Centurion is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, independently, and collaboratively to meet deadlines, satisfying all stakeholders while demonstrating exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build strong partnerships and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, lead and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skill for analysis with the ability to identify gaps in processes and create adaptable strategies and policies to address operational challenges.

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $75,000 and $90,000 per year at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
