Description
We are looking for an IT Support and Security Specialist to maintain and monitor our network, security, and computer systems, provide comprehensive help desk support, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, implement and monitor IT security measures, and assist with general IT support and procurement. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, safeguarding our systems, and supporting our employees’ technological needs.
This position will be located in Bellevue, WA with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office (Mon/Tue/Wed) and 2 days remote optional (Thursday/Friday).
Responsibilities
Internal Systems Management:
●Maintain and monitor all network, security, and computer systems to meet the organization’s current and future requirements.
●Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
●Ensure the integrity of backups, disaster recovery plans, and system updates.
●Perform routine system audits and upgrades to ensure compliance with industry standards.
●Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance of external systems.
Help Desk Support:
●Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests from office and remote employees.
●Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
●Track and manage employee IT support needs to ensure timely resolution.
●Provide technical assistance and training to end-users.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
●Set up new user accounts and configure desktop and laptop computers for new employees.
●Ensure all IT equipment and access rights are properly configured for new hires.
●Conduct IT orientation sessions for new employees.
●Manage the offboarding process to ensure the secure and efficient removal of access for departing employees.
●Coordinate with HR and other departments to streamline onboarding and offboarding procedures.
IT Security:
●Implement and monitor security measures to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure.
●Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
●Stay updated on the latest security threats and recommend proactive measures.
●Assist in the development and implementation of IT security policies and procedures.
●Educate employees on IT security best practices.
●Respond to and mitigate security breaches and incidents promptly.
General IT Support:
●Assist with the procurement and management of IT hardware and software.
●Maintain inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses.
●Collaborate with department leads on various projects and initiatives.
●Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
●Provide technical input and support for IT-related projects and strategic initiatives.
●Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance IT capabilities and security.
Requirements
●Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
●Proven experience in IT support and security roles.
●Strong knowledge of network and computer systems management.
●Proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
●Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and system update processes.
●Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
●Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
●Up-to-date knowledge of IT security threats and best practices.
●Experience conducting security audits and risk assessments is a plus
Salary
● $110,000-$130,000 Base Salary + Equity
Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education and skills.
