The Recipe Developer will be responsible for developing at least 25% of the new weekly product offering every week. Recipe development focuses on sending a mix of processed and whole ingredients for the consumer to create a complete dinner within a 30 minute time frame. All developers are required to develop across all diets while maintaining specific cost and nutritional targets. The Recipe Developer will be working with the Culinary team, as well as be the Procurement team and Editorial team.
You will…
- Develop 4 new recipes on a weekly basis, hitting key metrics to include cost, nutritional guidelines and processing restrictions
- Develop products with specific dietary requirements including but not limited to Paleo, Gluten-Free, Vegan and Keto
- Use online resources to input and track all aspects of development for full transparency within the department
- Write all required instructions for each product formula using standardized language, with a focus on ease of execution for the consumer
- Bench top test all formulas with Culinary Team panel tasting and make data driven decisions & updates
- Use consumer data trends as the foundation for all development
- Track multiple checkpoints of each product formula to hit key weekly deliverables
- Participate in weekly collaboration with Culinary, Editorial and Procurement teams
- Learn and apply knowledge of all the working aspects that are required to develop, produce and ship products to create effective new product formulas
- Work closely with the culinary manager, fellow recipe developers and CPS manager across various stage gates. Additionally, work with cross-functional team members in menu planning, photography and social media
- Apply expertise to create new product opportunities and to overcome obstacles in new product design

You have…
- Culinary degree or certification from an accredited program, Food Science background a plus
- 1+ year in Recipe Product Development
- Creative mindset to quickly change and adapt to new processes and change
- Excellent time management & communication skills
- Computer skills including Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
