The position will report to the Senior Manager, Direct Procurement and will be key in partnering with our regional stakeholders and departments to support the day-to-day procurement activities across the business. The successful candidate will be someone who loves Procurement and Operations, gets excited about problem solving with various cross functional teams, and is passionate about building relationships.
This dynamic individual will be responsible for leading a variety of tactical and strategic tasks including (but not limited to) issuing RFIs/RFQs; data collection and analysis; supporting the implementation of cost saving ideas and concepts; building and maintaining the supplier database; and providing any additional procurement support to the broader teams. Experience and understanding of the product life cycle from conception, sourcing, new product and formula development, launch, forecasting, risk mitigation, sustainability, and ESO, is highly desired.

Overall Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify and prequalify potential supply partners to meet the company’s needs.
- Manage the RFI process for new and current suppliers and maintain supplier information and quotes.
- Support in the development of a Supplier Sol Playbook to define business partnerships and a key reference point.
- Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communication.
- Support opportunities for cost savings initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, aligned with business objectives.
- Engage and work closely with cross-functional teams for new launches and rebrands to assure timely and efficient execution of projects.
- Support the enhancement of procurement processes, systems, and practices to achieve greater efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence.
- Support in negotiation on pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers that adhere to Sol’s procurement policies and standards and meet the end user requirements, focused on should-costs, leveraging buying power, and scenario modeling, for assigned projects.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience /or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Some technical understanding of Procurement and end-to-end Supply Chain Operations.
- Skills in relationship building and supplier relationship management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven ability to work independently.
- Effective problem solving and project management skills.
- Organized and keen on details and accuracy.
- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
- Ability to occasionally travel for plant and supplier visits, up to ~15%.
- Experience with NetSuite and/or SAP experience.
- FMCG/Beauty industry experience.
- CPSM, CPM, CSP, or Six Sigma certifications.
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (1-3 days per week in our NYC Office).

Salary Range
$90,000—$105,000 USD
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
