About Continue
We believe there is an opportunity to create a future where developers are amplified, not automated. This is why we are building the leading open-source AI code assistant and layering an enterprise product on top of it to enable organizations to build their own AI code assistant.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Continue (YC S23) is funded by Heavybit and angels like Julien Chaumond (co-founder of Hugging Face), Lisha Li (founder of Rosebud AI), and Florian Leibert (co-founder of Mesosphere).
With 12k+ GitHub stars, 200k+ downloads, and many large organizations like Siemens rolling out Continue, we are building a team to tackle the biggest challenges at the intersection of AI and developer tools.
About the role
Continue is seeking an outgoing Developer Relations Engineer to drive growth and engagement in the Continue community at the intersection of AI and software development. In this role, you will lead our online and in-person strategy to attract, empower, and elevate developers who use our open source and enterprise products to help them build software.
About you
Please keep in mind that we are describing the background that we imagine would best fit the role. Even if you don’t meet all the requirements, yet you are confident that you are up for the task, we absolutely want to get to know you!
- You have a strong technical background in software development and care deeply about helping other developers succeed
- You have a proven track record of creating engaging content, such as blog posts, tutorials, and videos that educate and inspire developers
- You have experience participating in or managing large developer communities and understand the dynamics of open-source communities in particular
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can effectively convey complex technical concepts to a wide audience both online and in-person
What you will do
We’re a startup, so you’ll have to be ready to do whatever is required to accomplish our mission. However, you can definitely expect to:
- Create a strategic plan for engaging and supporting developers through a Developer Relations program that turns users into contributors and contributors into heroes
- Get developers excited online on Discord, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. while also organizing and attending meetups, workshops, and other in-person developer events
- Ensure we hit our goals for the community by not only creating tutorials, guides, and blog posts to help developers get started but also experimenting with new initiatives
- Represent the voice of the community internally by establishing feedback loops that share what you learn with the product team and result in a great developer experience
