Opportunity
As an Engineering Manager on the Database Sources team, you will push forward Airbyte’s mission-critical source connectors that extract customer data from databases, data warehouses, and ERP systems. These are our largest revenue driving segment of connectors. This role isn't just about oversight; it's about deep technical exploration and leadership.
You will guide your team in diving into various databases to understand their specific approaches to optimized queries, write-ahead logging, and information schema management. Leveraging these insights, your team will develop efficient data extraction methods and implement Change Data Capture (CDC). You will play a key role in shaping the frameworks and strategies that make Airbyte's database sources reputable at scale and the undisputed industry leaders. Finally, you will help to build the tools to empower our community to create and extend databases on their own.
