Your work will directly contribute to helping Trust & Safety teams spend less time on repetitive manual reviews and investigations, allowing them to focus on what matters most. We're looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Backend Engineer who wants to swing for the fences to accomplish our mission, is excited by an early-stage startup environment where the hardest problems are yet to be solved, and is eager to learn and collaborate together.
This is an in-person position. Our office is located in San Francisco, CA.
What you'll be working on
Build and maintain high-throughput and low latency systems for event ingestion
Scalable rate limiting infrastructure
Scale and build out our AI infrastructure
Help support our dashboards and and maintain the API health of our backend
Requirements
2+ years of industry experience working on backend infrastructure and APIs
Experience with server-side web development (i.e. Java/Scala, Python, Golang, NodeJS)
Experience building stateless RESTful APIs
Familiarity with computer science fundamentals such as data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, and threading
Self-directed and comfortable working with ambiguity
Familiarity with SQL (MySQL) Databases and non-relational technologies
Nice-to-haves
Experience in Kubernetes or container-based environments
Exposure and experience dealing with production LLM technologies
Streaming infrastructure experience is a plus
