Reporting into the Content and Design Manager, you’ll take on a wide range of exciting projects. From helping us to develop our visual identity so it can thrive in a digital world and work on national fundraising and awareness campaigns. Also develop collateral for our digital channels and creating booklets, sub-brands and tool kits.
You’ll bring your creative flair to the role, pushing the boundaries with fresh ideas that align with our cause. With your keen attention to detail, deep understanding of the entire creative process and high standards, you’ll ensure that The Charity’s brand is consistently represented across all materials, both internally and externally. 📍Location: While contracted to our office in Fleet, Hampshire, our team supports a blend of office and home working provided you have adequate broadband and IT capability, with an average of 2-3 days in the office each week.
⏰Working hours: This role is 37.5 hours per week, with some out of hours working.
💰Benchmarked salary: c.£39,500 (dependent on level)

Your approach is user-focused and adaptable, excelling at time management, organisation and creative problem solving with strong layout and technical skills.
- Lead the design and development of a wide range of marketing collateral, including posters, leaflets, website and email graphics, and social media assets for various Charity events and campaigns.
- Adapt and apply design concepts across multiple platforms, ensuring a cohesive visual identity.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from different teams to develop accurate briefs and present compelling design concepts.
- Take ownership of design projects from briefing through to final production, including concept creation, incorporating feedback, presenting ideas, testing, and preparing files for all platforms.
- Innovate by exploring new design ideas, techniques, and methods to elevate the quality and creativity of design outputs.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, meeting high creative standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Source, create and manage visual content, such as photography, illustrations, infographics, and custom graphics.
- Assist in managing The Charity’s photo library, ensuring high-quality photography is easily accessible and well-organised for use across the organisation.
- Support design team administration, including managing equipment like cameras, maintaining the project filing system, and keeping projects updated in Trello.
- Develop the skills of The Charity by providing design basics and content creation training and supporting the Senior Digital Content Officer with photo training.
- Address and fulfil ad-hoc design requests as they arise, ensuring swift and effective delivery.

Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in Graphic Design, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality design work across various projects.
- Exposure to different types of projects, including print and digital design, branding, marketing collateral, and campaign work.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects that highlight creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to manage design projects from concept to completion, taking ownership of timelines, revisions, and feedback integration.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Experience working closely with other teams to interpret briefs, deliver design solutions, and contribute to creative strategy.
- A solid grasp of core graphic design principles, including typography, colour theory, composition, and layout.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Experience working within established brand guidelines, as well as adapting designs across a variety of formats and platforms.
- Ability to maintain consistency in design across different channels while keeping work fresh and innovative.
- Strong focus on detail, ensuring all design elements are polished, error-free, and meet the brief’s requirements.
- Ability to clearly communicate design concepts and rationale to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
- Comfort presenting design work and managing feedback constructively.
- Flexibility in adapting to changing project needs or requirements, with a proactive attitude toward improvement and innovation
