What We Do
At Unthread, we’re solving an evolving, yet pervasive, challenge: support is broken. The way customer support teams and internal teams like IT, HR, and Operations manage workflows has failed to keep up with modern business needs—especially for teams living in Slack.
We’re here to change that. By deeply integrating with Slack and leveraging AI-powered automations, Unthread helps teams bring order to the chaos of support conversations—whether it’s managing external tickets or internal IT or HR requests. We don’t just automate repetitive tasks; we structure workflows, enabling teams to focus on solving real problems efficiently.
Today, forward-thinking companies like Langchain, Apollo GraphQL, HubSpot, Lemonade, and Automattic all rely on Unthread to ensure their support runs smoothly, both inside and outside their organizations.
Why Join Us?
Joining Unthread means jumping in at exactly the right time. We’ve already hit product-market fit, built a lineup of incredible clients, and are positioned for rapid growth across both internal and external support ecosystems—spaces desperately in need of innovation.

Immediate user impact: Few things compare to deploying a feature and seeing users respond enthusiastically. Whether it’s an HR team improving their efficiency or a support agent resolving tickets faster—**every line of code matters** and directly changes how teams operate.
-
A product you'll truly believe in: Unthread was born out of a lightbulb moment, when we realized we’d solved a challenge that people instantly connected with. It’s a fantastic feeling—being on a team that knows it’s building something users love—and you’ll be part of that excitement daily.

- Work closely with the CTO and technical team to drive product development.
- Engage in hands-on problem-solving across both back-end and front-end environments, enhancing a robust, user-first platform.
What You Bring

- You’re proficient with Node.js and comfortable with Typescript. You have experience working across both back-end and front-end frameworks—we use Angular, but experience with any modern front-end framework is welcome.
- You have expertise in scalable system design. You've worked with technologies like GCP, Postgres, and microservices in production environments.
- You’re excited by AI. You see it as more than hype and are eager to apply real-world AI solutions (we use OpenAI) to help teams streamline their processes.
- You thrive in environments where collaboration and feedback matter, and you’re comfortable engaging in constructive discussions to reach the best outcomes.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working with Slack-based tools or other real-time collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise support systems or internal toolsets (HR, IT, etc.).
- Experience deploying AI-driven solutions in production, particularly for automation or workflow improvements.
