- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Code for new features for customer requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate workload based on new spec or customer requirements.
- Realize new features in the Genus timing tool.
- Add regression for new features.
- Resolve existing issues based on customer requirements.
- Analyze issues that happened on the customer end.
- Debug and try to reproduce issues locally.
- Fix bugs in the Genus timing tool and verify if it is working as expected.
- Collaborate with validation team and product team on various requirements.
- Analyze and finalize details based on the specs or requirements with product team.
- Cooperate with validation team on the verification plan.
- Work with other members of the Product Engineering/Product Validation team to capture best practices and lessons learned from current customer issues.
- Help the validation team to add regression for new issues.
- Add wiki page or PowerPoint as doc for experience.
- Some telecommuting permitted.
Qualifications: - Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related software engineering occupation.
- Code timing constraint and analysis behavior in C/C++
- TCL, Shell, and Python coding
- Utilize Static Timing Analysis, VHDL, and Verilog to analyze hardware behavior
- Computer architecture and organization
- Debug using Gnu DeBugger (GDB), Data Display Debugger (DDD), or other debugging tools
- Understand Common Power Format (CPF), Synopsys Design Constraints (SDC), Unified Power Format (UPF), or Standard Parasitic Exchange Format (SPEF) behavior
The annual salary range for California is $147,737 to $205,400. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
