About the role The Actuarial Analyst, Health Pricing role is a key position within the iptiQ Americas pricing organization. This role will be responsible for developing and executing pricing modeling, financial assessments, and filing of health products, supporting in-force products’ rate management, and engaging in product review assignments. This role will also be responsible for product experience and market landscape monitoring. Detailed responsibilities include: Executing assigned rate management initiatives for the health product portfolio including but not limited to creating rate proposals, and conducting profitability assessments, statutory filings and rate implementations Developing and documenting assigned pricing models used to analyze product profitability on various financial standards including US Statutory, US GAAP and/or IFRS Developing, documenting, and defending pricing assumptions and results for both internal and external stakeholders Partnering with the Data Analytics Team in building and maintaining product performance metrics and management reports to facilitate data-driven decisions Contributing to the Product Management Process by providing pricing and market insights, impacts to product features and risks, and supporting regulatory filings About You Minimum four-year degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or related field with proven mathematical skills and analytical ability Minimum 3 years of experience in the US individual life and health (re)insurance industry; experience with Medicare Supplement is preferred Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) is a plus Strong technical capabilities using actuarial and statistical modeling tools and Microsoft Excel; hands on experience with R, Python and/or MG-ALFA is strongly preferred Experience in developing product cash flows and profitability metrics under statutory, US GAAP and/or IFRS standards Capability to work independently and deliver project results Ability to work across cross-functional teams Attention to details with strong sense of documentation and corporate governance Strong interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to develop working relationships to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to communicate and present effectively, clearly and transparently to a variety of audiences. Open minded, trustworthy and enthusiastic For the states of Colorado, California, Washington and New York the estimated base salary range for this position is $64,000 to $113,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
