OBJECTIVE
The Financial Operations Analyst will perform finance and operations functions to support the firm’s investment and reporting activity, management of its portfolio companies, and fundraising. This is an important role in a rapidly growing venture capital firm with visibility to all levels of investment professionals and management. Though you will interface with the investment team, this is not an investing role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Greycroft’s portfolio company data by partnering with third party vendors (e.g., Carta, iLevel) and maintaining and updating internal records via proprietary investment software platform, Foresight
- Support deal pipeline and investment activity by tracking pipeline details, preparing capital call paragraphs, managing closing process with legal and fund administrator, sending relevant documents to third party vendors, and updating and recording new investment details across platform
- Own and ensure data accuracy across platforms by conducting frequent quality checks
- Strive to improve internal systems and processes by streamlining operations, developing automations, and driving efficiencies where possible
- Prepare detailed portfolio views and collect critical inputs to support ASC 820 valuation and annual audit process; assist in review and approval of quarterly financial statements, including preparation and review of schedule of investments
- Prepare ad-hoc financial models and analyses to fund performance and portfolio performance
- Monitor portfolio company performance via the development and tracking of OKRs, other investment-level metrics, and input from investment team
- Assist in preparation of key, externally facing materials, including materials for the annual investor meeting, advisory board meetings, and semiannual reporting packages; collaborate with investment team, investor relations, legal, and compliance teams to prepare, review, and finalize materials
- Assist in preparation of fundraising materials in collaboration with investor relations team
- Work cross-functionally to respond to ad-hoc data requests from limited partners in coordination with investor relations and fund administrator
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or related field
- 2-4 years experience in banking, consulting, finance, accounting, or investor relations
- Understanding of financial principles
- Exceptional spreadsheet, data, and project management skills
- Advance communication and organization skills
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Data visualization and analysis experience a plus
- Diligent, organized, scrappy, and creative
- Armed with intellectual curiosity, investigative rigor, and a “no task too small” mentality
- Excited to dive into messy sets of data
- Team player, collaborator, open communicator
- Comfortable presenting and communicating with senior leaders
Base Salary Range: $100,000-120,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
