The Role
The Analyst supports the Christie’s Ventures department in all projects as they relate to portfolio companies of Venture’s led by the Global Head of Christie’s Ventures, as well as ensuring that all departmental internal and external statistics, presentations, and reports are kept up to date. The role also supports the Global Head of Christie’s Ventures in all administrative tasks, aspects of organization, project completion and coordination across the portfolio as well as within Christie’s.
Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
Coordination and Administration Duties
- Interact with Executives (internal and external) and their assistants to gather information, build thesis for ventures, schedule meetings and feedback in support of ventures projects.
- Point of coordination and organization with other teams e.g., Marketing, PR, Ops for rolling out initiatives, e.g., Christie’s Art and Tech Summit.
- Point of coordination and organization with other teams e.g., Design, Technology etc. for project managing and rolling out integration of venture technologies into Christie’s.
- Support all deal teams with deal analysis, reporting and administrative tasks including financial management and billing.
- Provide administrative assistance to Global Head of Christie’s Ventures, including answering incoming ventures requests, department correspondence, scheduling, taking minutes, and maintaining relevant records, statistics, and reports.
- Create and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Project Management and Support
- Develop, maintain, and update reports, project plans and associated systems as a single Source of Truth. Ensuring the group manages projects efficiently to completion (e.g., using Basecamp / new PM software).
- Liaise with the finance team and legal teams to identify dependencies and opportunities, fulfil special requests and support projects, as applicable.
- Collaborate with internal partners and project teams to determine project scope, priorities, and requirements, help to identify solutions which are logical, feasible and cost effective.
- Develop high quality written materials, presentations, and internal communications for a range of audiences, including proofreading, organizing, and printing documents as applicable.
- Maintain appropriate documentation throughout project lifecycles.
- Gather and analyze data to support relevant projects as assigned.
- Support the Global Head of Christie’s Ventures as well as other venture stakeholders across a portfolio of projects.
- Ownership of other project activities as assigned by Global Head of Christie’s Ventures.
The Candidate
- Must have a Bachelor of Business degree.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- 1-3 years of applicable administrative, coordinator, and project coordination experience
- Must and be proficient in software programs such as Excel, Word, Photoshop.
- Excellent writing/communications ability.
- Strong analytical & financial modelling skills so as to analyze a variety of statistics and maintain databases.
- Relevant work experience at a Venture Capital, Private Equity or Family Office investments preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong ability to work under extremely tight deadlines and intense pressure.
- Motivated, extremely efficient, proactive and a great team player.
