Investment Operations Analyst
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Investment Operations, the Investment Operations Analyst supports the various members of the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation (MCHF) Investment team in day-to-day investment operations and reporting. Responsibilities will include all aspects of investment operations across an increasingly complex portfolio. The Investment team currently consists of ten professionals under the direction of Chief Investment Officer, Colin Ambrose. The Investment team is responsible for managing the Foundation’s $3.5 billion global portfolio and seeks to partner with the best fund managers across asset classes. This is a full-time position with a current weekly hybrid schedule of 2 days remote/3 days working in the Foundation’s headquarters in New York City.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and resolve investment operations and accounting issues in a timely and accurate way
- Ensure the integrity of performance and benchmark data
- Process investment cash flows and develop cash forecasts
- Reconcile portfolio analytics information regarding exposures, transactions, market values, and commitment information
- Prepare materials for quarterly Investment Committee meetings
- Respond to internal (Investment team, Finance/Accounting/Tax team, Compliance team) and external (custodian bank, portfolio analytics provider, external audit, investment manager) data and documentation requests
- Assist with investment manager onboarding/termination
- Confirm investment manager fee calculations
- Support the ongoing development of operational policies and procedures
- Undertake special projects as requested
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated track record of academic and professional success. Additional qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or business administration, as well as a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Long-term career interest in investment operations
- Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and manage simultaneous projects
- Track record of collaboration, working on a small team
- Highest level of integrity, intellectual capability, honesty, and personal responsibility
- Ability to travel occasionally within the United States and overseas
- Enthusiasm for being part of the foundation and contributing to its mission
Salary and Benefits
The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation expects to pay a salary in the range of $125,000 – $175,000 for this role, commensurate with experience. In addition to this base compensation, MCHF currently offers a benefits package that includes 100%-paid health care, dental, vision, and life insurance; retirement plan with up to a 12% employer contribution; employer health savings account contribution; gender neutral paid parental leave; and a minimum of six weeks paid time off plus all Federal holidays.

- Work is primarily conducted in person in a high-rise office environment in Manhattan, during the work week, and on sporadic evenings and weekends work as job duties demand.
