Position Overview
As our founding recruiter, you will work closely with our founding team to build and grow a talented workforce, helping to shape our company’s story and culture from day one! In this role, you’ll be instrumental in defining and implementing our recruiting strategy, establishing streamlined hiring processes, and identifying the right talent to drive our mission forward. Beyond recruiting, you’ll wear multiple hats, contributing to other essential startup functions—such as marketing, culture-building, and strategic initiatives—as we scale. This role is perfect for someone excited to jump in and make a tangible impact across various aspects of a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Duties
- Manage full-cycle recruitment process for our tech teams
- Create unique strategies to identify, attract, and engage with the best talent, from branding and events, to sourcing and referrals
- Source, establish and manage a robust pipeline of candidates, ensuring health and velocity of the talent pipeline
- Drive offer approval, extension and negotiation
- Identify closing strategies for offers and proactively provide candidates with the right information to help make their decision as easy as possible
- Create and own an exceptionally positive candidate experience at every stage
- Drive and assess the health of pipeline volume and velocity as well as data integrity and reporting
- Act as a talent advisor to senior stakeholders through reporting, strategy building, and reporting metrics
- Contribute to culture-building initiatives and assist with cross-functional projects in marketing, PR, and sales as needed, playing a versatile role in supporting the company’s growth and brand
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of full cycle technical recruiting
- Proven track record of sourcing and hiring passive candidates from top companies
- Experience partnering and influencing Hiring Managers throughout the recruiting cycle
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace ambiguity and adapt quickly to changes
- Ability to be scrappy and resourceful with minimal to no guidance
- Ability to think on your feet, but with enough humility to ask questions
- Previous start-up experience preferred; if no start-up experience, then at a minimum must have worked at an agency company that recruited for tech companies
