Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and client-focused Software Engineer to join our team, supporting new clients from initial trial through full integration. In this role, you will work directly with clients to onboard data, set up trial environments, configure third-party integrations, and support the customer success team. You’ll also collaborate with sales to help showcase our platform’s capabilities, and play a key role with the product / engineering team in developing product features and self-service solutions to streamline the onboarding and configuration processes.
Responsibilities
- Client Data Onboarding: Partner with clients to understand their data structures, assist with data imports and transformations, and ensure all data adheres to our platform’s requirements.
- Third-Party Integration Setup: Configure, implement, and troubleshoot third-party integrations (e.g., CRMs, analytics platforms, financial platforms), ensuring data flow and synchronization align with client needs.
- Trial & Sandbox Environments: Work closely with Sales to set up sandbox environments and trial accounts that demonstrate the platform’s value, meeting client-specific use cases and requirements.
- Feature and Self-Service Solutions Development: Collaborate with engineering to design, develop, and implement product features and self-service tools, empowering clients to handle routine tasks like data uploads, integration configuration, and analytics setup independently.
- Data Updates & Maintenance: Assist clients with system data updates, troubleshoot discrepancies, and make adjustments as necessary for ongoing data integrity.
- Analytics Configuration: Set up and customize analytics dashboards for clients to track key performance indicators and insights relevant to their goals along with internal analytics to understand customer health
- Cross-Team Coordination: Serve as a liaison between Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Onboarding teams, ensuring smooth client handoffs and cohesive support throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
- Technical Training & Documentation: Train clients on the technical aspects of platform setup, integration, and customization. Create and maintain documentation for client onboarding processes, data mapping, and troubleshooting guides for both client and internal use.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in programming languages like Java/Kotlin or Python
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, data transformation techniques, and integration workflows with third-party tools
- Experience with SQL and data manipulation
- Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately write custom scripts.
- Proficiency in handling and working with customer data, with a strong emphasis on data security and privacy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering, ensuring a seamless experience from initial contact to full integration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and conduct effective client training sessions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, able to diagnose and resolve issues related to integrations, data quality, or system configurations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong Google sheets and Excel skills are required
- Experience with Dropwizard, AWS, NextJS, Chakra UI, React, Typescript is a plus
Compensation range: $120,000-$140,000 plus equity
