What We Are Looking For Baylor University is seeking an Marketing Data Analyst to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the Division of Marketing and Communications by specializing in higher education market research, will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data related to university comparisons, market research, analyzing trends within marketing, branding and social media, and other key metrics within the higher education sector. The role involves working with large datasets to support data-driven decision-making, competitive positioning, market opportunities and strategic planning at the institutional level within the Division of Marketing and Communications. The candidate will make strategic recommendations to divisional leadership based on research findings. A Bachelor’s Degree and three years of relevant work experience is required. A Master’s Degree and five years of experience is preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. What You Will Do Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources, including surveys, and external databases and secondary research Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data quality checks Analyze data related to competitors, market trends, and other relevant metrics Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders Use statistical software and tools to perform data analysis and create visualizations Work closely with marketing colleagues, administration, and other stakeholders to identify data needs and provide analytical support for strategic marketing and branding initiatives Interpret and present data findings to non-technical audiences, making recommendations based on data insights Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in marketing, branding and social media Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance institutional market positioning Other duties as assigned by the vice president of marketing and communications and chief marketing officer Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission Ability to comply with University policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance What You Can Expect As part of the Baylor family, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous time off, tuition remission, and outstanding automatic retirement contributions.
