Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team and grow into the role of finance lead for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general accounting practices. Familiarity with Service Titan and QuickBooks Online is highly desirable. As an integral part of our team, you will oversee the financial operations of the company, manage a small team, and ensure the accuracy of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of daily deposits.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a small team of 2-3 employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Oversee construction job costing and ensure accurate tracking of project expenses.
- Assist in developing processes to streamline inventory management.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Service Titan for accounting and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Communicate financial results and insights effectively across the organization to support informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting and financial management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction or service-based industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; experience with Service Titan is a plus.
- Experience overseeing and mentoring a small team.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- A proactive and creative problem solver with a desire to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
