What you'll be doing: Design and implement cloud solutions that meet the organization's requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and performance. Configure and manage services, including compute, storage, networking, and security components. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Azure CLI/Powershell. Implement and manage virtual networks, VPNs, and ExpressRoute connections to ensure secure and efficient network infrastructure. Facilitate CI/CD pipelines and integrate cloud infrastructure with application deployment processes. Automate cloud operations and routine maintenance tasks using Azure Automation, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages. Monitor cloud resources and applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and performance. Enforce security best practices, manage identity, and access control, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards. Work with the Senior Cloud Engineer to evaluate new Azure features and services and make recommendations for their use in the organization. Provide technical expertise and support to team members and stakeholders regarding Azure-related inquiries and issues. Secondary Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining cloud-based Authentication services for the organization such as Okta and Azure Active Directory. Assist as needed with On-Premises infrastructure. Assist in maintaining other cloud-based applications that may rely on cloud technologies, such as but not limited to, Dynamics 365, Azure Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint Online and Teams. Qualifications: Understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings. Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools. Understanding of networking principles and services within Azure, including load balancers, VPNs, and network security groups. Understanding of security and compliance frameworks applicable to cloud environments. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus Points: Experience with Terraform. Experience with Azure Infrastructure Management. Experience with Well Architected Frameworks. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for version control, CI/CD, and monitoring. Experience with database services in Azure, such as Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, or Azure Database for MySQL. Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Experience with data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies in Azure.
