Senior Wireless IT Infrastructure Engineer
You will be an essential part of our IT Infrastructure team supporting our US fulfillment centers network infrastructure. Whether you’re responding to incidents, installing networks in new locations or pro-actively working to build a better platform, you will be responsible for providing core IT network services to support our dynamic growth.
You will…
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team to integrate a unified enterprise wireless network across all HelloFresh locations, incorporating on-prem, cloud solutions and IoT technologies.
- Travel to sites for installation, maintenance, and upgrades of advanced wireless network infrastructure.
- Lead projects and manage external vendors for timely and budget-compliant deliveries, using agile project management methodologies.
- Implement robust change management protocols for the wireless network.
- Provide superior customer service with rapid responses and insights into wireless network support issues.
- Resolve wireless network issues on-site and remotely with advanced diagnostic tools.
- Act as the primary contact for technical project requests from various departments related to the wireless network.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for wireless network systems and processes for both IT staff and end-users.
- Offer after-hours support for critical incident escalations related to the wireless network.
- Conduct incident root cause analysis and remediate system outages for the wireless network infrastructure.
- Keep detailed records of wireless network diagrams, configurations, operating procedures, and service records.
- Mentor and train less senior team members on wireless network technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance wireless network performance, adopting the latest technologies and best practices.
- Meet regularly with operations and other relevant departments to align the wireless network infrastructure with business objectives.
- Perform routine wireless network performance checks to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the team on basic wireless technologies and first-level triage to empower them with the knowledge needed for quick issue identification and resolution.
- Develop a comprehensive plan for equipment sparing for the wireless network, including policies for managing failures, to ensure minimal downtime and maintain service quality.
You are…
- Experienced with advanced configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting Cisco network equipment and wireless access points (both Cisco and Ruckus)
- Experienced supporting multi-site environment working independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work early mornings and/or late nights to execute critical network changes
- Works well in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines for deliverables
You have…
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in enterprise wireless network installation and systems management.
- Wireless LAN design including site survey.
- Experience in Air magnet or Ekahau in passive and active surveys. Both performing and interpreting results.
- Current CCNA and either RCWA or CWSP certifications are preferred but not mandatory based on experience.
- Ability to travel 25%
