As a Claims Advocate II - Process, you will support the broader USCAN Claims team by enabling process excellence across several internal teams. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the team is well positioned for the dynamic work that underpins our complex insurance program.
Uber embraces a hybrid work model, which allows employees to alternate between three days in the office one week and two days in the office the following week. This approach promotes a balanced and productive work environment that accommodates both individual preferences and organizational needs.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Design and implement best-in-class processes for internal claims functions, including First Notice of Loss and Inquiry Response
- Create thorough and accurate process documentation for evolving claims processes, new Uber products and policies, and system changes
- Establish a framework for maintaining and improving Uber Claims’ suite of process documentation
- Partner with Uber Claims Quality Assurance and Learning & Development teams to deliver feedback on process adherence & obtain feedback on process design
- Conduct process analysis to identify opportunities for process efficiency and optimization
- Liaise with Claims Leadership to implement process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Risk Management & Legal in order to ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive updates to processes and process documentation
- Set long-term strategy for Uber Claims process excellence
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of Process Excellence experience
- 7+ years of experience in a claims department at a P&C insurer or rideshare claims team experience
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in process optimization
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent cross-functional partnership skills
- Expertise in producing clear and thorough process documentation
- Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification
- Claims designation obtained or in progress
- 5+ years in auto insurance claims adjusting
- 1+years of specialized expertise in bodily injury claims within the auto insurance sector
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Extraordinary attention to detail
- Ability to maintain quality in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- High degree of adaptability to meet changing business needs
- Ability to serve as an insurance and claims subject matter expert
For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$126,000 per year.
