About Juniper Square
Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets, and as a result, bringing efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of our financial ecosystem. If you care about making the world a better place by making markets work better through technology – all while contributing as a member of a values-driven organization – we want to hear from you.
Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in our physical office in San Francisco or one of our co-working spaces. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across most US states, two Canadian Provinces, and India.
About your role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to partner with our GPX “GP eXperience” product team, where we build powerful software for investment managers (“GPs”) and their investors (“LPs”). You’ll focus on the full lifecycle of the investor experience, including workflows that help GPs raise capital from LPs for new funds, interfaces that enable communication between GPs and LPs, and tools that help GPs build and share detailed and professional investor reports.
Juniper Square provides mission-critical software and services for our customers, and you’ll be an essential part of ensuring our users can get their jobs done effectively and with ease. And as a member of our close-knit design team, you’ll have opportunities to up-level your craft through supportive peer collaboration and feedback, contribute continuous enhancements to our design system, and enact broad user experience improvements within our products.
What you’ll do
Partner with product managers to build an understanding of customer problems and business goals, brainstorm and align on solutions, and craft high-impact product roadmaps
Drive your projects from end-to-end with a high degree of ownership and autonomy
Explore solutions across all levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes and workflow diagrams to interactive prototypes and detailed design specs
Collaborate with your peers on the design team to up-level your and others’ work
Continuously improve and expand our design system
Work with developers to ensure your designs are shipped efficiently in accordance with mobile responsiveness and accessibility standards, and with a high degree of visual polish
Conduct research with users and interpret product usage analytics to unlock insights about our customers’ unique challenges and how our software and services can better address those challenges
Qualifications
4+ years of experience on a design team actively working through the entire product development lifecycle
Experience producing and maintaining high-quality and easy-to-follow design specs in Figma
Passion for building a deep understanding of your products’ customers, industry, and competitive landscape through independent research, customer research, and learning from and with internal experts
Experience working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and product marketing
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when brainstorming solutions and sharing your work for team feedback and alignment
Bonus points if you have experience in technical and/or enterprise-oriented domains like financial/accounting software, data-heavy products, HR software, or developer tooling
Bonus points if you have experience designing for mobile apps
At Juniper Square, we believe building a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture makes us a better company. If you think this job sounds like a fit, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the qualifications.
