As a Practice Experience Manager (PEM) at Verana Health, you’ll be the friendly and knowledgeable face connecting Verana with our medical practices and providers. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Practice Experience Manager has primary ownership and accountability for customer satisfaction within assigned accounts. Their responsibilities include the following:
- Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Provide comprehensive support and education for navigating the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).
- Assist clients in understanding and adhering to MIPS program requirements (Quality, Promoting Interoperability, and Improvement Activities) and in gathering and analyzing healthcare data for accurate performance measure tracking.
- Stay up-to-date with the Quality Payment Program to effectively educate clinicians and staff on program changes, requirements, and best practices.
- Ensure precise and timely submission of MIPS data to CMS, in compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Maintain expertise on CMS regulations, offering guidance on hardship and extreme/uncontrollable circumstances (EUC) exemptions, eligibility, and participation criteria.
- Be the internal champion for the needs of the practice across all functions of Verana Health.
- Follow the established communication cadence with practice and maintain clear and concise documentation.
- Adapt to the fast paced environment allowing you to navigate the various technology applications provided within Verana Health. (Google Suite, SalesForce, JIRA, Zendesk, Asana, Slack).
- Collaborate cross functionally with teams to continue to define best practices and achieve better outcomes in our organization
Basic Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelors degree Nursing, Healthcare Management, Health Informatics, Public Health or other relevant fields.
- Prior Knowledge of clinical workflows in a healthcare setting (healthcare medical records and/or claims)
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate or work in teams that involve multiple stakeholders and manage simultaneous tasks.
- Collaborative, iterative, results driven, and friendly.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously and articulate ideas to both technical, clinical, and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Bonus:
- Understanding of the CMS quality reporting programs and health information technology terminology.
- Experience in guiding clinicians through MIPS reporting and compliance.
- Experience working in a clinical environment such as a nurse, practice administrator, applications analyst, nurse administrator, or other relevant roles.
- Knowledge of healthcare technology systems and EHR (electronic health records) platforms.
- Certification in Medical Coding
- Project management certifications
- Experience with SalesForce

We pay based on a market-based approach, supported with robust data and in alignment with the compensation of our existing team. We construct our compensation ranges based on the US national average but your pay may vary depending on your location and the cost of living index for that geographic area. In determining an offer, base salary will also be based on experience, qualifications, skills and market conditions.

National Pay Range
$65,000—$75,000 USD
