Snowflake is experiencing exponential growth and we are expanding our public relations team to help us scale. We are looking for a skilled Corporate Communications Lead who will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans that effectively convey Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud vision, company values, and business momentum to the press.
This role demands a dynamic communicator with a background in corporate communications, media relations, and brand management. The Corporate Communications Lead will report to Snowflake’s Sr. Global Corporate Communications Lead, and will help drive Snowflake’s PR efforts across corporate programs such as Snowflake Ventures, as well as company milestones like global expansion, quarterly earnings, and crisis response.
This person will work closely with cross-functional teams including Corporate Development, Product Marketing, Sales, Legal, Investor Relations, Finance, and the broader Marketing and Global Communications teams to identify, plan, and execute corporate communications initiatives. They will be responsible for overall program management, as well as team operations to keep the Global Communications team organized and efficient. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated team-player, proactive, and highly organized, with a talent for creative problem solving and driving projects to completion.
- Serve as a key member of the global corporate communications team, bringing collaborative ideas and strong execution to broaden Snowflake’s corporate storytelling globally.
- Guide strategy and lead execution for comprehensive corporate communication programs that promote Snowflake’s brand, mission, and key messages across Snowflake Ventures and corporate milestones like global expansion, earnings, and day-to-day PR activities.
- Proactively source corporate storytelling opportunities that align with Snowflake’s business strategy, showcasing company and executive thought leadership across priority topics.
- Identify and drive tier one speaking opportunities for executives at media-hosted external events.
- Support crisis communication situations with media monitoring and analysis, press engagement and other tasks as needed; develop and implement communication plans and strategies to manage and mitigate potential issues.
- Build, maintain, and value positive relationships with business and tech media.
- Write, edit, and proofread a variety of communication materials, including press releases, blog posts, pitches, media comments, and other collateral that align with the company’s vision, values, and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights to support strategic communication initiatives and uncover unique storytelling opportunities.
OUR IDEAL CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS LEAD WILL HAVE :
- 4-5+ years of experience in B2B technology public relations, either in-house or with an agency.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, technical, and analytical skills.
- Experience with crisis communications and a deep commitment to brand reputation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various audiences across paid, earned, and owned channels.
- Experience leading multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with media and influencers.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail, while operating effectively in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment.
- A ‘Get It Done’ attitude and proven track record of managing projects from strategy to execution.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
- Strong judgment, a knack for diplomacy, and the confidence to engage and build consensus with stakeholders.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
