The Conference Technology Specialist I is responsible for the maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting of conference room equipment.
What You’ll Work On
• Facilitate use of audio/visual systems
• Answer calls and emails directed to Meeting Support
• Evaluate and recommend initiatives related to audio/visual improvements
• Proactively ensure audio/visual equipment is tested, debugged, configured, and patched on a regular basis, as well as documenting any instructions or changes for end users
• Coordinate with the IT Department to ensure Conference Room iPads and notification systems work.
• Assist with the audio/visual needs of Penumbra employees, contractors, and visitors on and off campus such as trade shows or remote presentations
• Assist with the schedule requests of the large conference spaces
• Setup and breakdown outdoor A/V equipment at special campus events
• Keep records of equipment issues and maintenance
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
• Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
What You Contribute
• High school diploma with 1+ years of experience in the configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of conference audio visual technologies, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience
• Experience working with and a basic understanding of presentation software such as PowerPoint, Keynote, Pro Presenter, Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
• Familiarity with both PC and Mac systems
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, contractors, officials, and suppliers and the ability to work effectively with teams
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize workload effectively
Working Conditions
General office, laboratory, and cleanroom environments. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Willingness and ability to work on site. May have business travel from 0%-10%. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 40 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Base Pay Range Per Hour: $24.00 - $42.00
Individual compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, work location and shift, and will increase over time based on meeting performance and business needs.
