Key Responsibilities

Design and drafting: Prepare and check designs of intermediate complexity using 3D modeling and 2D computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) automation tools.
Technical coordination: Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients.
Quality and compliance: Execute work in compliance with Project Quality Plan and procedures, and in accordance with approved project scope, cost, and schedule baselines.
Material take-off and procurement: Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations, and provide technical support for equipment and material procurement and subcontracting.
Construction administration: Provide technical support for construction administration, including response to construction requests-for-information and field changes.

Qualifications

Education: Associate degree in a related technical field of study.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of work-related experience.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
Technical knowledge: Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards.
Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Software skills: Intermediate computer and software skills, including proficiency in word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs.
CAD skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design utilizing Bentley MicroStation, P3D, and Intergraph Smart3D (S3D).

Preferred Qualifications

Nuclear experience: Experience with design of systems, structures, and components for nuclear facilities under ASME NQA-1 requirements.
Commercial knowledge: Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials.
Field experience: Practical field experience.
EPC project experience: Experience with EPC projects in industries such as U.S. Department of Energy, nuclear facilities, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology.
Advanced software skills: Advanced knowledge of Intergraph SmartPlant Review software and piping design requirements.
