At Mott & Bow we're looking for a professional focused on customizing and developing scripts for the e-commerce Shopify platform, including theme customization, feature enhancements, and app integration, while also focusing on learning and growing within the team.

You will be involved in various aspects of the Shopify development lifecycle, focusing on customizing and enhancing our e-commerce store using Shopify's platform.

What You'll Do

Modify pre-existing Shopify themes and create custom blocks, scripts, etc., to align with brand guidelines and design requirements.
Implement new features and functionalities within Shopify stores, such as adding custom sections and product pages.
Support the integration of third-party applications and plugins into Shopify stores to extend functionality and improve user experience.
Write and edit code to ensure the smooth functionality and performance of the Shopify store.
Follow good development practices to optimize the Shopify store for speed, responsiveness, and user experience across different devices.
Work in collaboration with different teams to develop and implement online store features and updates.
Thoroughly test Shopify websites and applications to ensure they function correctly and meet quality standards.
Provide regular updates to managers and senior developers on project progress and any issues encountered.
Help with tasks related to Shopify store administration and maintenance, such as the creation and updates of products, landing pages, collections, and configurations.

You Should Have

Candidates must be based in Latin America to be considered for this position. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to consider candidates from other countries.
At least 1 year of experience in front-end development, with a focus on Shopify.
Familiarity with the Shopify platform, including its features, functionalities, and Liquid template language.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Advanced level of English required.
Experience using version control systems, particularly Git.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in Shopify stores.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in both Spanish and English.
Learning Attitude: A willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify trends and technologies.
