A rapidly growing Fintech, based in NYC, is looking for a strong Java/Kotlin Software Engineer for a full-time role! The firm is a start-up that has gained traction by revolutionizing systematic trading and helping clients, worldwide, to optimize their Fixed Income strategy.

You'll be working with a small team of engineers, re-imagining fixed income trading and portfolio management, and using the latest techniques in AI/ML.

As an early hire at a quickly growing start-up, you will have the opportunity for rapid professional growth.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree from a leading university
Firm grasp of data structures, algorithms with fluency in Java & Kotlin programming languages
Experience in building real-time large scale, high volume, distributed data pipelines on top of data buses (Kafka)
Hands-on experience with large scale distributed NoSQL databases like Elasticsearch
Knowledge and/or experience with containerized environments, Kubernetes, docker
Experience in implementing and maintaining highly scalable microservices
Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred / Nice to Have:

Knowledge of Observability concepts & tools
Experience with large scale installations of Elasticsearch
Experience in AI development and deployment, preferably in the financial or tech industry.
Proficient in LLMs

Location: NYC
