We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a strong development background to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and cutting-edge technologies. The Cloud Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving our cloud initiatives, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud environments.

How you'll make an impact:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud resources on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Support the setup and maintenance of virtual machines, storage solutions, and networking components.
Automation & Scripting:
- Help automate infrastructure provisioning and management using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Assist in the development and maintenance of automation scripts and deployment pipelines.
Monitoring & Performance:
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance and availability using tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Stackdriver.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting performance issues and outages.
Security & Compliance:
- Support the implementation of security best practices and compliance requirements for cloud resources.
- Assist in managing access controls, encryption, and data protection measures.

Experience you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
1+ years of experience working on cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS platforms.
1+ years of experience with using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
1+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure components (e.g., compute instances, storage, networking).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer are a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Basic understanding of containerization technologies

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan.
