Overview
As the Marketing & Thought Leadership Manager at MzN, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our reputation and driving communication efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include
- managing the creation of compelling, high-quality content to captivate our target audience,
- building & managing the relationship to sites and publications where we can contribute thought leadership as guest, editorial contributions through earned media or publication partnerships (we never sponsor or use paid media opportunities)
- and managing our strategic marketing plan to enhance our visibility and engagement with potential clients.
What We Expect From You
Content Management
The content will be drawn from our experts, but you will be responsible for devising a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with stakeholder objectives and the long-term business plan. You will ensure the publication of at least one new piece of content and one podcast each month.
As the primary owner of content design and development, you will:
- Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with business goals and appeals to our audience.
- Oversee the creation, review, and publication of content on the website and social media platforms.
- Identify, invite, and coordinate with interview partners, including industry experts, clients, and other stakeholders, to generate valuable insights for content creation.
- Organize and conduct interviews, ensuring smooth communication and the production of high-quality materials.
- Produce diverse content formats, including newsletters, videos, infographics, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and webinars.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as subject matter experts, designers, and videographers, to create engaging content.
- Maintain consistent tone and branding across all content platforms.
- Monitor content performance metrics, optimize strategies based on feedback, and ensure content remains relevant and impactful.
- Manage a content calendar to ensure timely delivery and publication.
Podcasts
- Develop a strategic roadmap for podcast production and ensure content quality.
- Publish at least one podcast per month.
- Expand podcast reach through promotion across various platforms and communication channels.
Thought Leadership Content
- Generate innovative ideas on key industry concepts and developments.
- Enhance content quality by collaborating with stakeholders to capture their insights and expertise.
- Take ownership of strategic initiatives to strengthen thought leadership.
- Promote thought leadership content across multiple platforms and communication channels.
Webinars & Events (Conferences)
- Plan, schedule, and moderate webinars.
- Engage with registered attendees pre- and post-webinar to maintain connections and foster engagement.
- Identify which conferences we should attend and help on preparations and follow up.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Analyze the effectiveness of content across platforms.
- Develop monthly trend analysis reports to optimize content delivery.
- Extract insights to identify strengths and areas for improvement in content strategies.
Supervise the Website maintenance & updates, Email and Social Media Marketing
While dedicated staff will manage the website, email and social media marketing, you will supervise, coordinate, and report on these efforts to ensure alignment with the overall marketing strategy.
Manage content partnerships
Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant sites, publications, and media outlets to secure opportunities for contributing thought leadership content. This includes identifying and cultivating connections with platforms that align with our industry expertise, managing guest and editorial contributions, and leveraging earned media opportunities and publication partnerships. The role requires a strategic focus on building credibility and expanding reach through mutually beneficial collaborations, ensuring all contributions adhere to our commitment to organic, unpaid media engagement.
Skills & Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in content or digital marketing, or a related field.
- Proven ability to promote and manage various marketing events.
- Strong skills in content creation, design thinking, creativity, and innovation.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the NGO sector is preferred.

- Competitive salary between EUR25.000 and EUR30.000 FTE commensurate with experience. This job can be between 50% and 75% part time.
