Zurich is seeking a Statistical Analyst or Enterprise Data Specialist I to join the Statistical Coding & Reporting Team within Operations. Ideally this position will work out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, however, may consider other Zurich office locations within the U.S. In this role you will identify and validate data scenarios and recognize opportunities with actionable plans to support the improvement of the organization’s decision-making capabilities through high quality and transparent data. Key Accountabilities: Comply with regulation, reporting schedules and changes in reporting requirements. Develop processes that streamline the flow of work and increase quality. Create coding requirements for new products and programs. Monitor effectiveness and makes changes as necessary. Participate in key Enterprise Data Initiative team projects, supporting underlying data capture and utilization opportunities. Identify data most valuable to the organization and evaluate this data and alignment with the corporate data model. Establish working relationships with key technical leads throughout the organization and ensure ongoing alignment with their activities and the overall organization’s strategic direction. Assist in the evolution of the physical data designs for new and ongoing projects, ensuring consistency and standardization across multiple projects. Research data anomalies and develop recommendations to solve unique organizational and enterprise data problems. Aggregate, consolidate and develop technical documentation surrounding the organization’s Information Architecture. The role will be filled at the Statistical Analyst or Data Enterprise Specialist I level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position. Basic Qualifications: Statistical Analyst Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Statistical Analysis area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Statistical Analysis area OR Data Enterprise Specialist I Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Data Management area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Data Management area AND Experienced in data interrogation, data profiling or data modeling Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor degree preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools. Experience with data analysis tools and software such as SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other statistical software. Familiarity with BI tools like Business Objects, Power BI, etc. Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation. Knowledge of database systems and data management. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting. Ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear, concise manner. Ability to work independently and interact effectively as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of the commercial property & casualty insurance industry, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of bureau reporting standards and requirements such as those from ISO (Insurance Services Office), NCCI (National Council on Compensation Insurance), and other relevant regulatory agencies. Understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to ensure that all reporting meets regulatory standards. Willingness to stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $63,300.00 - $173,500.00. The proposed salary range for the Statistical Analyst is $63,300.00 – $103,800.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
