This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to transition into the field of data analytics. As a Data Analyst Trainee, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship, working alongside experienced professionals to develop your skills in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.The role is on-site at our location in Vaughan. Relocation assistance is not available. This role also offers an hourly payrate and is benefits eligible.Position Summary:Data Analysis Trainee assists in analysis activities including data setup, data searches, feature identification and marking.Responsibilities:Safety shall always be the top priority.Work in a team environment collaborating and sharing knowledge and experiences.Learn the responsibilities and required tasks of a Level I Data Analysis.Accomplish all requirements of a Level I Data Analysis qualification and pass respective evaluation.Interpret industry documentation on ILI tools and pipeline integrity.Under the supervision of a Data Analyst Level II or higher, perform data preparation and processing of ILI data.Under the supervision of a Data Analyst Level II or higher, perform feature categorization, evaluation and marking.Performs other assigned tasks.Operational Excellence: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, consistently working towards the achievement of individual and team goals.Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.RequirementsDegree or diploma in engineering, science or technical discipline; or equivalent experience preferred.Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude.Proficient with operating relevant customized and shrink-wrap computer software applications. Understanding of Microsoft suite products.Demonstrate the ability to deliver timely, accurate, and complete results.Requires a strong ability to sustain focus on one or more tasks while avoiding distractions. Willingness to handle repetitive tasks.Requires pattern recognition and spatial thinking skill.
