Responsibilities
- Support Air Force program managers supporting large-scale Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs
- Work as part of an integrated cost estimating team to perform a variety of cost and economic analyses
- Interface directly with program offices and assist the development and presentation of management level briefings as needed
- Work may include parametric cost estimating, life cycle cost analysis, cost estimating relationships and model development, cost risk analysis, performance measurement (earned value), project forecasting and risk assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and software cost estimating.
- Support strategy development, scheduling, market research, evaluation criteria development, pre-solicitation documentation review, proposal documentation/evaluation, Independent Program Review documentation, cost estimates and key decision point preparation, and trade studies
Skills Required
- Must be able to obtain government security clearance (secret or higher)
- Must have 7 years ICBM subsystems or DoD weapon system or similar technical/cost/engineering experience
- Must have a Bachelor's degree preferably in math, engineering, business or the sciences
- Ability to identify appropriate acquisition and sustainment cost drivers and document current technology issues/trends/changes driving costs
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition policies (especially information technology programs) and Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) suite is a plus
- Ability to provide leadership a quality product relating to cost estimating, cost research and analysis, cost-benefit analysis, affordability analysis, earned value management, financial analysis, budgeting, contract reconciliation, and contract closeout for Air Force and DoD programs.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
