Position Overview: We are looking for a high-performing sales professional to join the team as a Director, Strategic Customer Growth. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and has a proven track record of building and growing strategic customer relationships in the medical device contract manufacturing space. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, key account management, and long-term partnership development. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure we deliver best-in-class solutions tailored to our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth and expand business with key customers in the medical device industry.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-level decision-makers at strategic customer accounts.
- Identify new opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and expanding partnerships with existing clients.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, quality assurance) to deliver tailored manufacturing solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Monitor market trends and customer needs to continuously refine strategies and identify new business opportunities.
- Use data-driven insights to track performance, forecast sales, and report on key metrics to senior leadership.
Experience and Qualifications: - 10 years of sales experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on contract manufacturing
- Proven success in managing and growing strategic accounts, including experience influencing senior decision-makers and C-level executives.
- Strong understanding of medical device development processes, including design for manufacturability (DFM) and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, FDA).
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Expertise in contract negotiation and relationship management, with a focus on building long-term, trust-based partnerships.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet complex customer challenges.
- Strong data analysis capabilities, using CRM systems and other tools to monitor performance and drive strategic decisions.
- Experience in global markets and working with multinational customer portfolios is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
