Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage a case load of 50-75 cases
- Accurately draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery and various motions
- Continually communicate with clients, counsel, experts, and courts
- Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subrogation liens)
- Accurately maintain case management data in FileVine (case management database)
- Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation
Qualifications:
- Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle collisions
- Proficient in preparing discovery responses
- Detail oriented with a focus on grammar and language arts
- Professional appearance and behavior
- Working knowledge of common deadlines and protocols of personal injury litigation
- Trucking experience preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person and email
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management software (File Vine preferred)
Education Requirements:- College degree or comparable paralegal certification and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required in a plaintiff's personal injury law firm, 5+ years experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stand/Sit - Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Walk - This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.
- Use of hands/fingers to handle or feel - constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Climbs stairs - May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Carry weight/lift - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
