Summary:The Human Resource Generalist International will primarily support employees working outside the U.S. with a focus on Powin employees in Australia and Spain. This role will report to the Portland, Oregon headquarters as a member of the U.S. HR Operations team. This role will assist in the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding and offboarding staff, administering benefits, leave of absences, facilitating training, managing employee relations, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Job Details:- Manage cross-cultural employee relations with cultural sensitivity
- Onboards new employees and leads new hire orientation
- Performs tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to onboarding and offboarding, benefits, leave, employee relations, and training and development
- Lead annual benefit renewals and communicate plan changes to employees
- Assists employees with questions regarding human resources policies, procedures, and administration
- Support International HRBP with termination paperwork and meetings
- Partners with HR management on policy revision and implementation
- Coordinates with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee timesheets and the integrity of information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Maintain accurate employee records
- Administers HR trainings and programs in response to business needs
- Receives and process first reports of injuries and facilitates workers compensation insurance programing if applicable
- Administers employee leaves of absence as outlined in company policy and in compliance with local absence laws
- Administers, reinforces, and ensures engagement in all global programs rolled out by U.S. Headquarters. These programs may include engagement surveys, performance reviews, merit programing, new policy development, etc., Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, statutory requirements, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Performs other duties or projects as assigned
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years relevant Human Resources experience
- Competency in the following Human Resources Generalist areas: onboarding, benefits, HRIS Administration, and employee relations
- General understanding and applied experience with laws and regulations governing employment, employee relations, and total rewards and benefits in Spain and Australia highly desired
- High level of interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and proprietary company and employee information
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or related software
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and other HR systems
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Demonstrated international HR experience a plus
- Flexible work hours to accommodate multiple time zones

Compensation for this position is commensurate with location, experience and relevant skills. The national Average Base Salary Range is $74,000 - $98,000. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and personal performance.
