National Grid is hiring a Data Analyst for our Security Analytics and Insights team, this is a hybrid role based in Warwick. About The Role Our vision is to be recognised as a world leading Information Technology and Digital function in the energy sector and a trusted partner across National Grid businesses. As a Data Analyst, you will be working as part of the Security Analytics and Insights team to analyse data and develop insightful data visualisations with respect to the security at National Grid. This role involves working with colleagues across the Security function to develop metrics and visualisations that show the performance of the business and/or present insights that show opportunities for improving operations and/or the security posture of the organisation. Key responsibilities will include: ⦁ Engaging with colleagues within Security to gain an understand their data, seek opportunities to improve existing data analysis and develop new automated reporting processes. ⦁ Collecting data from various data sources and transforming data to create data models that represent the underlying business operation. ⦁ Developing reports using Power BI to show the performance of the security function and/or to show the security posture of the National Grid business. ⦁ Gain insights from data analyses which can be used to make data-driven business decisions and improve performance. ⦁ Automating the refresh process of the reports, using Power Automate, so that Power BI reports are updated at regular intervals with minimal manual interventions. About You The position requires a disciplined thinker capable of analysing security threats across organizational boundaries to protect National Grid's infrastructure and customer services. Proficiency in Power Query, Power BI, and statistical analysis is essential for extracting, cleaning, and modeling data to provide actionable insights and automate reporting solutions. ⦁ Experience of Power BI is essential, knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps and Splunk is preferred. ⦁ Scripting and statistical software knowledge, such as Power Query, DAX, Python, SQL, Splunk or other statistical / ML software. ⦁ Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. More Information A competitive salary between £46,415 – £54,703 – dependent on capability As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
