The Manager, Corporate Development will be responsible for helping to identify, evaluate and execute strategic transactions for Pfizer, including public company mergers and acquisitions, large private acquisitions and significant corporate divestitures. Core activities will include developing and managing financial models and metrics for corporate development projects, leading/supporting the analytics and processes for identifying new opportunities, creating presentations for senior management summarizing opportunities, and managing the internal and external core financial data sources for the Corporate Development team.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and manage complex / detailed financial and valuation models
- Lead/support screening activities to help identify corporate-level M&A targets and strategic transaction opportunities
- Work closely with the overall business development team, business units and enabling functions to ensure a consistent analytic approach and best practices to the financial modeling of M&A and large corporate strategic transactions
- Conduct and coordinate diligence on opportunities being evaluated by the Corporate Development team
- Manage internal and external core financial data sources for the Corporate Development team
- Create / review senior management presentations summarizing opportunities
- Respond to leadership requests for analysis of potential transactions
- Interact regularly with external advisors and other third parties
- Actively monitor competitor transaction activity
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in related corporate development function or investment banking
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Excellent quantitative skills with significant experience in complex valuation modeling and analysis
- Proficiency in key financial databases, metrics and corporate financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment, prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical operations
Work Location Assignment: Flexible – role will require 2-3 days a week in office.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,800.00 to $151,300.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Pfizer compensation structures and benefit packages are aligned locally, the US Salary range provided does not apply to the Tampa, FL or any EXUS locations.
