BlackRock Impact Opportunities Overview:
Founded in 2021, the BlackRock Impact Opportunities (BIO) platform is a $1 billion+ return-seeking, impact investing strategy focused on making direct investments across the private markets universe.
BIO’s first vintage Fund aims to uncover compelling investment opportunities for our clients by investing in businesses and projects owned, led by, or serving people of color, with a particular focus on Black, Latinx and Native American communities in the United States.
The Fund takes a dynamic approach to addressing the issue of racial inequity through direct investments across alternative asset classes – Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Assets, and other niche private markets strategies and across sectors. BIO was designed to pursue opportunities that have historically been undercapitalized and, as a result, may offer differentiated sources of return.

The Associate must have a passion for investing and will be an active participant in the direct investment process including performing screening, research, financial modeling, and other quantitative & qualitative analyses as part of the investment team.

This person may also represent the firm and BIO in public forums and is expected to support the BlackRock’s broader efforts across the impact and sustainability ecosystem.
Given the growth trajectory of the BIO platform, the team is looking for a self-starter, who would be keen to take a leadership role in building the business.
