Joyance Partners is hiring an Investment Partner to join our investment team.
We are a U.S.-based venture capital fund with teammates located in New York, San Francisco, Texas, Asia, and Europe. The firm invests in early-stage and growth companies in healthcare, longevity, consumer, software, and frontier tech – all with the underlying theme of promoting health, happiness, longevity, and delightful moments in everyday life. We are one of the most active VC funds globally, with ~$260M in AUM.
We are looking for a full-time Investment Partner to join our team, with a path to General Partner.
The ideal candidate should ideally have a proven investing track record in early-stage startups on behalf of a prominent early-stage venture capital or a growth equity fund. Ideally, this track record shows a strong experience guiding startups to large exits, a strong board of directors experience, and an extensive network for sourcing elite founders and investment opportunities. Preferably this investor would have experience in healthcare, frontier tech, or consumer, and potentially some relevant founder/operating experience in the startup ecosystem.
The ideal Investment Partner will generate deal flow, serve as a brand ambassador for Joyance Partners, guide our portfolio companies, and provide expertise on startups in their specific field. Additionally, the Partner will represent Joyance Partners in the market, build relationships with entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the firm.
The responsibilities include:

Deal-flow sourcing, including evaluating and executing potential investments.

Deal diligence and selection, building investment theses and IC memos when appropriate.

Helping guide the fund’s investment process and weekly Investment Committee meetings

Building alongside our founders, and general portfolio company support.

The opportunity to work with founders leading pre-seed through Series B companies.

Representing Joyance Partners in the market and building strong relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and other stakeholders.

Contributing to the overall strategic direction of the firm and participating in fund management activities.
Requirements:

Significant experience in venture capital, with a robust track record of successful investments with large exits.

Investment expertise in healthcare, consumer, and/or frontier investing.

Proven ability to source and evaluate investment opportunities, lead due diligence processes, and make investment decisions.

Strong network and relationships in the venture capital and startup ecosystem.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent Joyance Partners effectively.
