As our Operations Manager, you will enhance efficiency by managing day-to-day operational tasks. This role supports the VC-in-Residence by assisting with client consulting calls, managing email correspondence between the operations team and clients, as well as leading preliminary client interactions. The candidate will work closely within our VC network, understanding the value prop of our startups and matching them with relevant investors. The candidate will also be responsible for ad-hoc tasks to improve the client experience and retention, which can include drafting reports, presentations, and assisting with preliminary startup screening and due diligence. This position will directly contribute to improved client and investor satisfaction and business success.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of operations: deliver and create processes. Including but not limited to managing investor intro requests, overseeing LinkedIn and third-party software campaigns, and assisting in Pitch Deck preparation;
• Assist in in-depth Pitch Deck reviews and Pitch Simulations with startups;
• Identify relevant investors for our portfolio startups, within or outside of our partner network;
• Introducing relevant startups to our VC network within the Funden platform;
• Deeply understand our startup’s value proposition to craft compelling pitches to our VC community;
• Help perform Funden Due Diligence to determine whether a startup is a fit for our program;
• Compile weekly client status checks to keep all team members updated;
• Manage timely communications with clients to keep them informed of their status in the process, including responding to non-consulting email requests;
• Draft summary reports on a client’s startup at the end of an engagement, summarizing VC feedback;
• Facilitate development and onboarding of our partner network to grow Funden’s brand reputation and network with external players (investors, business, entrepreneurs, industrialists, sector experts, research organizations, etc.);
• Handle daily administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing calendars, managing correspondence, and maintaining records; and
• Report directly to our VC in Residence.
Required Skills:
• Very strong Operations Management skills;
• Outstanding written and verbal communication; and
• Outstanding project management skills.
Experience and Education:
• Bachelor’s degree; a Master of Business Administration, Juris Doctor, or similar graduate degree;
• 3+ years applicable experience in finance, venture capital, startups, or adjacent markets;
• Strong interest in the Venture Capital and Startup world; and
• Experience working within a small business.
