Cadma Capital Partners seeks an Investment Associate to join a high growth credit platform focused on the innovation economy. As an affiliate of Apollo Global Management, Cadma provides unique financing solutions for the venture and growth ecosystem, partnering with venture debt firms, venture capital firms, expansion-stage companies, bank lenders, GPs, LPs, and other constituents across the innovation ecosystem. Our tight-knit, well positioned origination platform is seeking a team-oriented self-starter with impeccable analytic skills who is polished and efficient when communicating at all levels, internally and externally, and with a deep passion for venture, technology, and financial innovation.
Primary Responsibilities
-Work alongside senior leadership to support asset origination and revenue generation efforts
-Assist in the underwriting and structuring of new deals and modifications, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
-Build and maintain complex financial models to support new business opportunities, analyzing financial performance, cash flow projections, scenario analysis, and stress testing
-Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing financial analysis and structuring recommendations
-Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data to support structuring activities and financial analysis.
-Maintain proactive portfolio management, including monitoring financial performance, compliance, and risk assessment.
-Draft deal term sheets and assist in deal documentation
-Coordinate with various departments including credit, risk, operations, finance, legal, and technology.
Qualifications & Experience
-Relevant work experience at one or more of the following types of firms: large commercial bank, commercial finance company, financial technology company providing loan origination and lending services.
-Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record
-1-3 years of experience in structuring, financial planning and analysis, or investment banking
-Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL, with the ability to create detailed reports and complex financial models
-Knowledge of Excel VBA is a plus
-Understanding or background with capital markets, financial services, and credit products
-Ability to synthesize complex financial concepts and build financial models; strong writing and presentation skills
-Strong project management, writing and presentation skills
-Strong team player with an entrepreneurial predisposition and excellent interpersonal skills
-Desire to work in a small financial services startup environment
-Self-starter with a strong work ethic and genuine willingness and desire to learn
