Cadma Capital Partners seeks an Investment Associate to join a high growth credit platform focused on the innovation economy. An affiliate of Apollo Global Management, Cadma provides unique financing solutions for the venture and growth ecosystem, partnering with venture debt firms, venture capital firms, expansion-stage companies, bank lenders, general partners, limited partners, and other constituents across the innovation ecosystem. Our tight-knit, well-positioned origination platform is seeking a team-oriented self-starter with impeccable analytic skills who is polished and efficient when communicating at all levels, and has a deep passion for venture, technology, and financial innovation.
Primary Responsibilities
– Work alongside senior leadership to support the asset origination and revenue generation efforts
– Understand the characteristics of Cadma’s product offerings (from the perspective of the client and Cadma to facilitate the development of bespoke financing solutions)
– Prepare presentations on transaction structures, including key considerations and explanations of structures
– Effectively communicate information through slide decks and other forms of written communications ensuring programs are delivered in a way that excites and exceeds the client objectives
– Assist in proactive targeting and outreach to new opportunities
– Analyze credits, prepare internal memos and build financial models
– Prepare deal term sheets and assist in deal documentation
– Work on monthly and quarterly updates for Board and internal teams
– Collaborate with other members of the team across credit, risk, operations, finance, legal, and technology
Qualifications & Experience
-Relevant work experience at one or more of the following types of firms: investment bank (investment banking or leveraged finance), alternative asset management in private credit
– Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record
– 1-3 years of experience in a strategy, financial planning and analysis, or investment banking or similar work experience
– Understanding or background with capital markets, financial services, and credit products
– Desire to work in a small financial services startup environment
– Strong project management and follow-through skills, ability to manage multiple projects
– Strong writing and presentation skills
– Ability to synthesize complex financial concepts and build financial models
– Strong team player with an entrepreneurial predisposition and excellent interpersonal skills
– Self-starter with a strong work ethic; a genuine desire to learn
