Connexa Capital is excited to welcome MBA interns who are passionate about the dynamic world of venture capital. As a seed to series B technology-focused investor, we are committed to providing a hands-on and enriching experience that will expose interns to various aspects of the venture capital ecosystem, including deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, and content creation.
Duration: Q2 2024, semester long. Candidates are expected to work 1 day per week remotely.
Overview:
Internship Components:
- Introduction to the VC landscape and our firm’s investment thesis
- Familiarization with our portfolio companies and their respective industries
- Conduct market research to identify potential investment opportunities
- Collaborate with the team to source startups aligned with our investment focus
- Attend industry events and networking sessions to build relationships within the entrepreneurial community
- Gain hands-on experience in conducting due diligence on potential investments
- Learn to understand and analyze financial metrics, business models, and market trends
- Work closely with the due diligence team to assess the viability and potential risks of investment opportunities
- Participate in the development of financial models to evaluate the financial health and growth potential of target companies
- Contribute to the creation of investment memos, pitch decks, and other relevant documentation
- Develop content for our online platforms, highlighting our portfolio companies and industry insights
- Enhance communication skills by presenting findings and insights to the investment team
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a top-tier MBA program with a focus on finance, engineering, entrepreneurship, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Passion for the venture capital and startup ecosystem
