What is venture capital?
Venture capital is a type of financing that investors provide to startup companies they believe have long-term growth potential in exchange for equity (% of ownership) in the company.
Startups typically seek monetary advancement through venture capital to support the projected growth of their company. VC firms can also provide managerial and operational expertise in addition to financing to help the business get started.
